Recommended Anti-Terrorist Weapons

For fighting terrorists, I have come up with some personal weapon recommendations. I have also rated each weapon on a few categories, as well as an "overall anti-terrorist rating". Keep in mind that handguns and long guns have different standards for the ratings categories (so that if a pistol has a higher lethality score than a rifle does, it does not mean it is necessarily more lethal than a rifle, it is a comparison to other handguns).

Long Guns

Colt AR-15 Rifle
(.223 caliber semi-automatic rifle)

The AR-15 Rifle is pretty much the civilian version of the M16. For those of you who don't know what an M16 is: it is the main rifle used by the United States Military. This gun comes in many different variants from different companies. The Colt version comes with a puny 9 round clip (giving it the 4.5/5.0 magazine capacity rating), but you can get a couple of 30 round clips to make it truly awesome. The .223 is not a very large caliber, but it is still enough to take out terrorists should the need arise. It might just take more than one shot. This gun is very accurate and fun to shoot.

My Ratings
Accuracy: 5.0/5.0
Lethality: 3.5/5.0
Magazine Capacity: 4.5/5.0
Coolness: 5.0/5.0

Overall Anti-Terrorist Rating: 4.5/5.0

Springfield SOCOM II Rifle
(.308 caliber semi-automatic rifle)

This is a modern version of the M1. It has a rail system to provide easy mounting of flashlights and scopes. That way, you can take out terrorists who are very far away, or terrorists that try to invade at night. The .308 caliber means that it is stronger than the AR-15. It is still an accurate rifle, but the higher caliber makes it a little worse than the AR-15. You can also get a 20-round clip for this gun, but it will still not have the capacity of the Colt.

My Ratings
Accuracy: 4.5/5.0
Lethality: 5.0/5.0
Magazine Capacity: 3.5/5.0
Coolness: 4.5/5.0

Overall Anti-Terrorist Rating: 4.375/5.0

Winchester Model 1300 Defender Shotgun
(12-gauge pump-action shotgun)

For close range, this is my shotgun of choice.

Why? Because this beast holds 8 12-gauge rounds! That's at least 8 dead terrorists at close range, probably more. And the "spread" action of a shotgun means that you don't have to aim that well! However, if I had to choose between a rifle and a shotgun, I would choose a rifle. This is because with a rifle you can shoot terrorists through walls and you have much better range. The ratings are compared to all long guns (rifles and shotguns), but I will only consider the shotgun's effectiveness at short-range, since that is what it is made for.

My Ratings
Accuracy: 5.0/5.0
Lethality: 5.0/5.0
Magazine Capacity: 2.0/5.0
Coolness: 4.5/5.0

Overall Anti-Terrorist Rating: 4.125/5.0

Handguns

Springfield 1911-A1
(.45 caliber semi-automatic pistol)

This pistol is an American legend. Used as the primary military handgun from 1911 to 1985, it is probably the most popular handgun in this country. Many different brands manufacture varying versions of the 1911, but I recommend Springfield because of its price and overall value.

Although most variants only have a 7 round magazine capacity, the caliber is high enough that it will usually take out a target in one shot. Unfortunately, the accuracy is not as good as a 9mm or other smaller calibers. Still, with practice you should have no problem defending your home and country from anti-American terrorists.

My Ratings
Accuracy: 4.0/5.0
Lethality: 4.5/5.0
Magazine Capacity: 4.0/5.0
Coolness: 5.0/5.0

Overall Anti-Terrorist Rating: 4.375/5.0

Beretta 92FS
(9mm caliber semi-automatic pistol)

This handgun is also referred to as the "M9". It is commonly seen in our military today. Combined with smooth looks, the pistol also has a 15 round capacity. It is more accurate than a .45, and still has considerable stopping power. However, the bullet sometimes overpenetrates its target. You may have to shoot more than one of these at a terrorist to kill him.

My Ratings
Accuracy: 4.5/5.0
Lethality: 3.5/5.0
Magazine Capacity: 5.0/5.0
Coolness: 4.5/5.0

Overall Anti-Terrorist Rating: 4.375/5.0

Desert Eagle
(.50 caliber semi-automatic pistol)

This is the grand-daddy of all pistols. The Desert Eagle is so big, it doubles as a howitzer.

Why is this gun so cool? If a terrorist is threatening you, all you have to do is threaten to melee them with this gun and they will surrender. This is probably not a good choice for a primary anti-terrorist weapon, but it is very nice for any collection.

My Ratings
Accuracy: 3.5/5.0
Lethality: 5.0/5.0
Magazine Capacity: 4.0/5.0
Coolness: 5.0/5.0

Overall Anti-Terrorist Rating: 4.375/5.0

Knives

CRKT M16 Knife
(Folding knife)

Okay, I only have one knife to recommend: the CRKT M16. It is a very cool knife, and it comes in many different colors and sizes. I recommend either the Special Forces model or the Titanium model, with the 4" blade.

Why do I put a knife on here for fighting terrorists? Some states in this country have ridiculous laws that don't allow you to carry firearms. Therefore, you need some sort of protection should terrorists invade. This knife should do the trick! It is a very functional knife and will do well to accompany your chosen firearms for fighting evil terrorists.

Obviously, I can't rate this knife like I can guns, but I give it a 4.0/5.0 for "overall anti-terrorist rating".

Well, there you have it. Keep in mind that these are only my opinions, and that you may find a more effective "Terrorist Threat Remover" for yourself. And kids, always treat firearms with respect.
